About emmabuggjewellery

Emma Bugg finds inspiration for her jewellery in the urban environment. Architectural design and materials are a key element in Emma's work. Conceptually, she looks at the idea of holding on to memory of place, collecting pieced of discarded rubble from demolition sites and mixing the groung up remains through concrete and setting it her jewellery. Emma has also done memorial pieces, with cremated ashes being set in concrete as a way to immortalise the memory of a loved one. Based in Hobart, Tasmania, Emma is selling her jewellery through the MONA shop and Handmark Gallery, Salamanca.
